We have a 28 day return policy, which means you have 28 from placing your order to return your purchase.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be returned in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, simply post your goods back to:

Suburban Muse, 6 Market Street, Marple, Stockport, SK6 7AD.

This must be done at your own cost. We recommend that you use a tracked service.

Once your return has been received, it will be inspected and a refund (excluding original postage costs) issued upon acceptance. You will be sent an e-mail notification to confirm your return has been accepted and your refund is being processed.

You can always contact us with any queries relating to your purchase at or using the chat function on the website.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

If you return your faulty item after 28 days, you will be offered a replacement if available or a refund for the amount paid in the form of a credit note. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, including earrings and jewellery for body piercings.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.

Sale items purchased in store with a discount can only be returned for store credit or an exchange.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll automatically be refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take from 2 to 10 working days for your bank, credit card company or PayPal to process and issue the refund.
